I checked on Consumer Reports and the LG was recommended. We did not want a refrigerator with ice maker or water supply or wifi. We wanted a basic refrigerator, that holds our food. It does this well. No complaints as of this writing.

The finish does not show fingerprints as some of this type do, and the recessed handles give it a sleek appearance. As for performance it is a 5 star gem! Lighting in the fridge and freezer is very good and most importantly both spaces maintain recommended temperatures flawlessly. We are satisfied with the layout of shelves and door

However....I wanted the doors mounted on the other side to work with my kitchen layout. When the installer went to change them he found that there were no holes for the hinges on the other side. Sears couldn't find me another one. So close to perfection.
