[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this model engine kit. She is so curious and inquisitive so this is so wonderful. It sparks her creativity and keeps her occupied for a long amount of time. It's also a great toy to work on with her and collaborate with friends.

Fun to build while learning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very educational and not hard to build. The instructions were very easy to follow. It took my kids about 2 hours to build (with adult help). As you assemble you’re able to understand how an engine really works by building it from the ground up. It is fun to build while learning along with the kids.

the Discovery Kids DIY Toy Model Engine Kit more. My son is constantly getting into trouble for disassembling and then attempting to reassemble all of the appliances and computers in our home. Sometimes he's successful and sometimes he's not, but his passion for discovering how things work has continued to be insatiable through the years-- so much so that we have to keep all our tool cabinets locked.

Sometimes he's successful and sometimes he's not, but his passion for discovering how things work has continued to be insatiable through the years-- so much so that we have to keep all our tool cabinets locked.
Since he was born, he has never been into "kid" television show or childrens' toys. He's always gravitated towards mechanical and automotive DIY television shows made for adults, so before putting together the model, he already had a good sense of the engine and how it worked. By putting the Discovery model engine together, he was able to test his knowledge in a safe and fun way, and without potentially destroying an actual engine!
He loved that the model was hands on and that he was able to complete everything on his own with the help of easy to read instructions. He also really enjoyed showing us how everything worked when he was done. Even though he loved the model itself, I think his very favorite part was that he could finally work freely on something that he truly enjoyed without getting into trouble!
This is the first time EVER that he has played with a toy that actually meant for children, so I am definitely a fan and will 100% continue to search for model Discovery kits in the future. I highly recommend this for those who have inquisitive children!

What a great STEM kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Discovery Mindblown Toy Kids Model Engine Kit is such a great way to introduce kids to the intricacies of what an engine is and how it works internally. It has a turning crank shaft, valves, a rotating fan and even spark plugs. The plugs have LED lights that will light up.
