It is 100pcs and is a model of an engine that works. It isn’t horrible to put together but your child may need assistance.

I love that little ones can see how an engine works and is put together with this. It is a valuable skill to have, you pay for what you don't know. My kids will know about vehicles now. I love it!!!

fun for father and son

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gifted this to my son as an early Christmas present and he loves it.he is 11 and really enjoyed putting this kit together with his father who is a mechanic. I love that its educational and fun. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun educational toy for an older child.

Great project for young mechanics

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 7 year old loves helping dad who's a mechanic and this was the perfect project for them to assemble together. The small pieces were sometimes a challenge for our 7 year old but with dad's help they had it together in just over an hour (with a snack break in the middle). Dad enjoyed discussing the names of the parts and pointing out how they work. He did have one mishap as he is not used to a crankshaft being in several pieces and made the mistake of picking the model up and the rod fell out allowing parts to fall out of place inside. Quality of the model was good enough he was able to take it apart and put it back together. Mom loved that there were spare belts since we have a cat that chews on anything rubber. 7 year old loves seeing how the engine works has enjoyed turning the engine on as part of imaginative play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son and I had a blast building the engine and learning how engines work. The see through design allows the user to see what really happens inside of the engine. You'll see the moving cylinders and blinking spark plugs.
