i got this TV for my son for his Xbox but it is always saying offline even though his Xbox has WiFi and he wishes that vizio would add an app store

This was purchased to replace an older VIZIO plasma model that had a bad power supply. We loved everything about it. While the picture and tuner on the new model are superior (and that is the point, right?), the remote and user interface come up well short of satisfactory.
The remote is cheap. It feels fragile (and the backplate comes off a lot), and all the streaming channel branding is tacky.
The latency in the remote is unsettling; so much so that I’m no longer glad to have 97 OTA channels locked in with the excellent tuner.
One would think with all the extra multicolored buttons, the designers might have thought of at least one good way the owner could actually read the type displayed in the menu bar and info panel.
One might think the accessibility menu would hold the answer, but the system simply lacks useful accessibility features. The zoom feature that offers some access to reading information on screen is, at best, klunky.
Maybe a future system update could address some of this. We’ll see.
