Extremely Poor App Support

Bought this TV a few weeks ago, and have since returned it. The picture was okay, not especially great, not especially bad. But based on my experience with competing brands I expected to be able to add the apps of my choice to those built in by Vizio. NOT SO. The user is limited to a very small set of apps, many of which are costly subscription services. There is no way I could find to expand its capabilities beyond the small selection in the Vizio library. This is completely not okay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought as Replacement

I fell in my living room and our 55" in TCL TV broke my fall. Though I escaped injury, my elbow went through the screen of the TV. This 40" Vizio was advertised in a local flyer for an incredible price, and anyone who has ever binge watched their favorite episodes knows How critical a compromised viewing situation can be. I needed a TV immediately and couldn't resist the deal on this. I got it home, had an easy set up. And to my pleasant surprise, the quality of the picture was INCREDIBLY SUPERIOR to the TV it replaced. I was very pleased with the purchase. This was 2 year's ago and I have now placed the TV in a bedroom and it still has the great features I initially loved. This TV interfaces well with video streaming players such as Roku and Firestick. I have not tried our Apple TV console with it, but I can only assume it will also work just fine. It easily connected to my LG sound system. I would definitely purchase again!

Nice tv to screencast my iFit for treadmill!

I asked Santa to bring me a tv that could use ApplePlay to screencast my iFit treadmill workouts and he delivered! I love this tv for that. Simple to set up; plug & play!
