I got this TV for Christmas and got it set up on a wall mount in my bedroom. The internet router is also located in my bedroom. The picture is nice quality and pretty user friendly for the most part. Love that when you fall asleep with it on, it automatically gives background pictures that change every couple minutes similar to a computer locked screen.
I am unable to get Hulu to work on the TV so I have to stream from my cell phone and connect it to my TV to get it to work. I researched this and everything tells me that my internet is not well enough to stream Hulu but that cannot be true because my Living Room has a Roku and it works perfect when playing Hulu.
Another issue is when watching the WatchFree TV, it is super slow, especially when trying to go through the guide. It takes maybe 3-5 seconds to switch up one channel on the guide so it takes forever to find something to watch. It also is not on the same time as my current central time and I have not even tried to figure that out yet.
Lastly, many times when trying to turn on the TV, it is frozen and I cannot get anything to work, so I have to go unplug the TV, wait 30 seconds and plug back in to see if it works. This usually works but occasionally I have had to do it again, possibly because I did not wait long enough. This is the most frustrating part of it.
I thought about trying to take it back but already got rid of the box and other stuff. Not sure if there is anything I can do for it at this point. Not sure I would recommend this TV as the main reason I wanted a new TV was to be able to stream Hulu since I was using a Blu-ray DVD and the contract to stream Hulu ended months ago so I had no way to watch it anymore and this TV won't work for it. Also should not have to unplug s TV every other day to get it functional again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
