Nice features, slightly laggy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for anout 5 years and it's still going medium strong. It works most of the time but it is outdated so lags just like an old computer. The ability to control it with the vizio app has been really convenient and the smartcast features make it very easy to use with a lot of my other tech in the house. I would like to upgrade to a newer TV when possible but there' no rush as this product is doing it's job.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THE WORST TELEVISION EVER !

When my guarantee / warranty is expired or it completely become disable.
I will not repurchase this BRAND.
I see why it so cheap, because it is cheaply made

Alexa app doesn't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't buy if for Alexa, but when I saw it included as a feature I said sure. App causes about 20 minutes of sheer frustration. Good TV other than that

Visual quality

I bought this smart tv several years ago. I visited the support site a few days ago and got this invitation to rate "Your recent NEW purchase" (again, purchased years ago). So, okay.
The picture quality is stunning. I've never had a problem viewing any program on our satellite subscription. Where I have issues is with the "Smartcast" and other input options. Using any streaming service is slow. Ancient slow. Response time to commands from the factory remote is horrendous. Navigation through any streaming service is like you're tied to a big rock trying to run. Smart phone remote app isn't much faster.
Using a Roku's stic is like a warp drive for ftl travel. It's staggering the difference in speed. Roku's navigation is blistering fast using the same apps that Vizio's software tries to navigate. So many times I have had the streaming apps from Vizio lock up and had to restart. For two years I thought it was my internet connection. After the Roku input, I know now that the internet connection speed isn't the issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
