Has never performed as advertised

The temp in the fridge has never reached the temp on the settings now the freezer is icing up. We're on our 5th repair visit the in the door ice maker ranks as the worst invention of all time. Finally turned it off. However you can still feel cold air coming from the dispenser. I think the flap is installed backwards, but who am I...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved my French Door Café Fridge

This is may second 3door Café Fridge. When my last one has a Major repair need after 8 years, We decided to get the same one. The problem was the Only one ever and we think it was a fluke. Thankfully it is still in production. There are a few changes but for the better. Feels like there is mire room inside my 27.8CF Café. We are so happy with it.

Needs design improvements

1. There's a factory defect with the finish on one of the doors. I assume it's from something they stuck on it under need the protective film
2. I'll be forever peeling off the protective film. I got the bulk of it off, but a lot of it is still stuck under trim pieces
3. The icemaker is the worst. It's very slow to crush ice and it sprays ice everywhere. The spraying part looks like it could be corrected with a small hood or funnel added to the design. We've added a mat in front to catch some of the overspray.
4. The lock button is not child proof. My two-year old has had no trouble pressing the big lock button to unlock it himself when he feels like getting water or taking an ice shower

Ice spraying out of the dispenser can be quite bothersome and we're sorry you're experiencing this. If the freezer temperature is too cold, the ice will spray more because it is more brittle and flies apart faster while being crushed. To correct this, please turn the temperature control to a warmer setting. Your comments on the locking feature are important to us as well and we're glad you shared them. Wonderful French Door Refrigerator

We Love our Cafe French Door Fridge. This is the second one we have owned. It is Reliable, Stylish and Reasonably priced. It is a Smart Appliance and has lots of room. It fits in very well with All of our other Cafe appliances and they look and work Great.

The layout of the new refrigerator is terrific. The icemaker is located in the door, and this frees up a lot of room in the main part of the refrigerator. My only complaint is that it has a loud humming noise and it is quite bothersome.
I would recommend this to a friend!
