Overall awesome refrigerator

My wife and I bought this because we like the functions, the interior format, the ice maker placement, in the door, and the lighting. We have one major issue; the doors do not open wide enough to get the drawers out for cleaning. We tested the one on display at the store and you can get those out, but not mine. Good luck cleaning them well.

Damaged and noisy

I will try to keep this short...
We received our new refrigerator and the following things needed to be immediately replaced.
+ Door gaskets - Split in both upper door gaskets. Plus one door gasket was improperly seated causing the refrigerator to run constantly
+ Left hand refrigerator door - because of dent
+ Freezer door and rails - Door is not aligned properly. Does not open and close properly. Technician attempted to adjust and could not fix it.
+ Water filter - Water pressure is poor causing the Hot Water feature to be disabled.

Now to the noise... Read their Owners Manual before you buy. It specifically states that this refrigerator will be noisier than your old refrigerator. There are fans used for circulating the air within the refrigerator compartment. These fans run intermittently even if you don't open the refrigerator. The noise is comparable to the sound of a toy drone. I've been in computers for years, and have used PC's with powerful fans that don't make anywhere near the noise the refrigerator makes.
Needless to say, this has been a disappointing experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Huge upgrade

I have had my eye on the GE Cafe series appliance for years. I have a contemporary cabinet and I wanted a matching flat (no bow) front panel refrigerator in stainless. I have 3 kids and wanted a big fridge with water and ice that was easily assessable for them. The in door water hot water is a bonus for tea etC. The finish on the stainless is great and so far my kids haven’t managed to dent it. It does get finger prints but I prefer a little elbow grease and stainless polish over the no-finger print material. Since upgrading to this fridge, I have been able to fit all my regular food shopping and party food shopping without the need to turn on my spare fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had this refrig in my last house and loved it. We built a new home and again purchased the Cafe Refrigerator. You can’t go wrong.

Moving out to the country, I wanted a large refrigerator. This is deeper, but not wider than your average fridge. The dispensers are buttons and very user friendly. And, there aren’t a lot of buttons which I like. Then there is the touch screen which is quite straightforward so you don’t need a book to figure it out. It keeps a good temperature and adjustments are easy. Plenty of room. I like the freezer drawer set up so far, as well. It’s not noisy, either. Good fridge!

Great features!

We bought this about one month ago and we are so happy we bought this one, it’s stylish and very elegant, we like the tray can be pulled out to support something bigger than a cup, also we can download pictures to the lcd screen and not to mention the hot water dispenser, we have the app so we can go in an set it to boil water at a specific time.
If I had to pick one thing it would be the amount of hot water it dispenses “ 10 oz “, that’s just not always enough for a mug or a bowl of soup.

Ice bin

I bought this with the keurig coffee maker built into the door and we have only used it maybe 5 times. It takes a long time to brew just 1 cup of coffee because it has to heat cold water. We can brew 3 cups in our countertop kuerig to the 1 cup in the fridge brewer. Other wise we really like the fridge. My favorite is the ice maker is in the door so gives more room inside.

I have been using my refrigerator for 3 months and I just love it . The style looks terrific in my kitchen . I have glossy white cabinets and glossy cocoa colored cabinets and it blends right in for a fresh modern look .
