Not cooling evenly. The bottom of the refrigerator is frozen up, and the top of it is too warm for safe food. Replaced vent fan and it still don't work.

Awesome stainless steel fridge, buuutt.. .

I want to start off by saying that this refrigerator is a great stainless steel double door refrigerator that's perfect for family size households, & it has lots of space, compartments, and plenty of shelf storage on the doors with a great filter water/ice maker that also makes boiled hot water for easy coco/soup support with a very spacious freezer as well, which I love.. .HOWEVERRRR, the ice maker STOPPED making more than a tiny bit of ice at a time, if any at all and its driving EVERYONE NUTS especially since its a very hot summer this year in NY and WE.NEED.ICE!! So if I can find a way to fix my ice problem, I'd give this GE refrigerator 5 stars *****

Poor design, performance and longevity.

I’ve had this refrigerator for 5 years and I’ve never been thrilled by the design or performance.
The plastic feels cheap and several pieces have broken after normal adult use.
The seals on the main doors and freezer drawer are finicky and frequently don’t seal, causing temperature problems. I’ve had to empty, turn off and defrost in order to restore normal temperature control.
The hot water cafe is useless. It heats very slow and only heats a small quantity. An electric tea kettle for your counter is better suited for actual use.
The layout is acceptable, but I wish the refrigerator drawer was separate from the main refrigerator.
I am so sad to say that the ice maker has rusted! I thought my ice tasted strange and investigated to find lots of rust inside the ice maker blades.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The freezer broke down so many times. Now compressor is out. Bought in 2018. Not happy!

Have had this unit several years and we NEVER have frozen ice cream or vegetables. Have had service 4 times !!!!!!
