Beautiful Fridge

We bought this as a replacement to our old Cafe SbS do to a power surge that damaged or old unit. The new styling, layout, lighting, features, and functions are definitely an improvement compared to the older model. We like the hot water dispenser, led lighting, and that the screen measures the ounces of water dispensed.
Another thing, I like that the new GE Cafe Units are made in America!!!
I wasn’t to sure about the French door design, but now I’m a fan! This fridge is just beautiful!!! I’m kind of glad we had to Replace the old unit as the new style Cafe is major upgrade!!!

Sturdy appliance, keeps good temperature.

Outside appearance is well done. Double doors do not shut on their own. Must be pushed closed. Water/ice dispenser work well. Want more inside door shelves.

Frustrating

Bought this a month ago. I like the features but when it came there was a dent on the front panel and chip from black paint in side. Panel changed by GE but not that smooth. 1. First scheduled appointment -repairman proceeds to ask me if I ordered a part. Not sure why this would be my responsibility on a brand new appliance. He had to reschedule and order Front door panel. Ten days later after my initial appointment was canceled -repairman came back to replace front panel but inadvertently cracked plastic face for ice maker. Also informed GE doesn’t make paint to cover scratches or dings on the black so Repairman whipped out his sharpie marker. High quality for my brand new appliance!! So now I have to wait and Install my plastic cover for ice dispenser and decide if I want to find paint to cover the scratch .

Lots of room

Love the amount of interior space this fridge has. It is set up well inside with the drawers and shelves. My only complaint is that the ice chute is too large and it shoots ice out around the top of a typical drinking glass.
The white is so much easier to keep clean than any of my stainless appliances. Love the look of the cafe series!

It’s so beautiful

Everyone asks where I got this fridge- even the guy who delivered it! It looks so nice with my white cabinets, as if it’s built in. And the space inside is tremendous. I have yet to completely fill it up.

Nice features!

I had the counter depth version of this refrigerator at my prior house and loved it and never had any problems. When I recently built a new house I wanted the same features but could get full size. So glad GE still had this available. I like the hot water addition as I’m not a coffee drinker but occasionally want hot water for tea, hot cocoa, or soup and this is great way to get just enough.
There are slight differences in this newer model, no odor filter needed (so don’t have to buy), and WiFi and app (nice but not sure how often I’ll use). I also like being able to upload pictures for display on the screen!
Hoping this one will be as reliable as my prior one because I love it

Almost Perfect

The Hot Water Dispenser takes almost as long as it takes to warm up a tea pot. The ice dispenser really could use some design tweaking because if you want to fill up a wide mouth water bottle with crushed ice, expect to have melting pieces everywhere on the floor. Other than those two minor things, love this fridge so far!
