Nothing but trouble since we bought it 3 years ago

I conducted extensive research and thought the GE Cafe Series would be a solid investment. Oh, how wrong I was. The handles are wobbly, the plastic ice maker door latch has broken, the meat drawer plastic has broken, and a few times (again this week) the main refrigerator area do not cool so our food is starting to spoil. The food in the refrigerator drawers is nearly frozen, but the cold air isn't being circulated upward.
I've now been reading all the reports of this being a common issues. Very poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love everything about this product except that it does show a lot of fingerprints. Not really a problem except when there are children in the house.

Difficult to clean

Hot water heater takes several minutes to warm up. Chrome inside fridge in front of shelves bubbles and peels off after a few months of use
Drawers aren’t able to be removed without taking out the entire shelves both doors have to be open to open deli drawer. There’s no alarm on the freezer door if it doesn’t close all the way like most fridges have now to alert you the door didn’t close.

Noisiest refrigerator

This is the loudest most annoying fridge I have ever owned. It rattles, bumps and sounds like a helicopter coming in for a landing.
I like the style, look and the ice maker. I have service look at it but they say "Noise" isnt covered under warranty

Beautiful and Big but...

This fridge is huge and beautiful. I love the hot water feature (however you can only get 10oz per 3 to 4 minutes). I love the huge water space to fill my large water bottles.
Unfortunately, the water tray piece is rather flimsy/cheap quality given the price tag and seems to be coming loose on the left corner. The fridge is impossible to fully clean and the veggies and fruit drawers don't come all the way out. I have a nasty type of mold growing at the top of the veggie drawer, which I can see looking into my fridge but I cannot access to clean. Also after only 3 years, the interior lights have been flickering and one or two is out and the fridge is so much darker now. I am looking for a new light and do not see one.
So although this fridge is Big and Beautiful, I would not recommend it due to the inability to clean above the drawers, and loosing some lighting within 3 years, which is terrible, because the wonderful lighting was a huge draw to me and the flimsy water tray.

Big and Beautiful but issues

Lights are going out after 3 years. Poor quality design on the water pull out tray. Impossible to clean the top of the veggie drawer or the fruit drawer.

Great refrigerator for around 6 years.

Refrigerator gradually lost temperature control. Started with perishables spoiling in veggie trays, then freezing cheese in the cafe' tray. Unusual noises coming from the compressor/condenser areas. Hard to determine exact area. All of those areas are clean of dirt/dust. Vacuumed the areas. There are three circuit boards that only GE techs can check with a laptop and probably proprietary software. Trying a service call, but tempted to buy a new unit.
