Top quality and performance!

We purchased the GE Cafe French Door with bottom freezer 3 months ago. The quality, finish and performance are exceptional.The ability to acomodate various size containers with the water/ice on the door feature makes this model surpass the competition.

Near 4 yrs - Flag Ship Product - Entry Reliability

We purchased our refrigerator during October 2011, we have enjoyed the features and the durability of the inside parts and the flexibility of the interior space. We have not enjoyed our experiences with the saga of the same issues re-occurring.
Our first issue came 13 months in service when the freezer would no longer stay cold. The cooling unit failed when we were on vacation, the ice, within the ice maker, melted and drained the contents onto our hard wood floors. GE repaired the unit, but it required two trips and a day and 1/2 away from work.
Second time - same problem 14 months later - only this time we caught it before it drained the contents on the floor. GE repaired the unit, but it required two trips and a day and 1/2 away from work.
Third time - same problem 16 months later - Once again we caught it and moved all of our food out to the freezer to save it and stopped using the ice maker.

We bought this refrigerator with our new home. We could not be more pleased. It is very spacious and has ample space to organize different items. It is quiet and very energy-efficient.

Poor job keeping food at consistent temperatures.

We have had a lot trouble with food freezing, including cans of soda that have split open and leafy vegetables that have been ruined. The frig says it's at 37 degrees, but the frozen goods inside tell a different story. Also, the small ice maker takes too long to replenish the ice supply and the ice sometimes clumps together and fools the frig into thinking there's more ice than there really is. This has been an expensive disappointment for us.

Bought it a couple weeks ago.. So happy with it.. Spacious and elegant (if you can call a refrigerator elegant.. Lol) Always wanted a French door.. Love the freezer on the bottom as opposed to a side by side.. Just very pleased!!!

Ice storage is lacking

Refrigerator lay out is very useable. The moveable shelf is not very secure and has collapsed to the shortened position with glass bottles on it. Love the wide shelves and drawers.
The ice maker is the big problem. It makes approximately 30 cubes of ice a day. We have kids in sports and water bottles to fill daily. We have to buy ice now and fill up our freezer space. This ruins it for us.
