The top has an alarm if the door remains open, not so for the freezer.
The freezer door need to be closed with little force otherwise it does not close the whole way. It happened to me twice already.
If not for this, I would give it a five stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Shelves are an issue and handles

The shelves are not adjustable and we must force the milk or juice containers to fit on any shelf. The biggest issue are the handles that regularly need to be tightened. We've bought GE appliances for 40 years and this one, while functioning very well, seems to have cut corners on shelf height and handles.

LOVE THE INTERIOR DESIGN. ITS PRACTICAL, SPACIOUS, AND WELL BUILT.DONT REALLY USE THE HOT WATER FEATURE. IT SEEMS IMPRACTICAL AND TAKES A LONG TIME TO HEAT UP

Love everything but

The ice maker. When you use the crushed ice it scatters ice all over no matter where or how close you hold a cup. The water dispenser also has a tendency to drip at times. Both result in the water dispenser looking like a mess when the ice bits and water dries on it
Otherwise it a very nice fridge so far. I like the brightness and location of the lights. Plus it seems like it cools much more quickly than our old one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
