Well thought out & great design.

I did all the research before making a purchase decision.
Many years ago I was a chef and always wanted commercial quality appliances in my kitchen. This is what I received when I purchased this fridge!

Beautiful Beast

This is one beautiful fridge. Quality and construction are evident when you look at her. You wouldn't even know it plugged in if there weren't light for you to see the display. The hot water dispenser is nice for a instant cup of soup or a quick cup of jo. The lower try with 5 different temp settings is just a plus. Cubed, crushed and water in the door keep my kids happy and this fridge hold what we used to need 2 for. Great addition to our kitchen and First Class.

Great Investment

This was a great purchase and great investment. I really enjoyed adding our family photos to the screen and watching videos. I also like the locking feature so my 2 year old son cant open it on his own.

I have on this refrigerator for about four months it's an overall great refrigerator. The shelves are very versatile lots of hidden compartments very nice compact. It operates well given that I have four children that opens it frequently throughout the day. Only complaints are the bottom drawer was in two parts so both Doors did not need to be open to access it. Other thing screen does not have clock and also writings on buttons are rubbing o Doors did not need to be open to access it. Other thing screen does not have clock and also writings on buttons off. The handles are very sturdy and my kids have a blast making hot chocolate and tea With the hot water feature. It also blends in well with the monogram line.

Great Beginnings

Our new GE Cafe fridge was installed a week ago and so far, everything is just perfect. It cools quickly and accurately (I checked the temperatures with a thermometer). The storage features are very good. I'm pleased that it runs so quietly. Also, the particular stainless used cleans up easily with alittle isopropyl alcohol. It is difficult to research and decide on a new fridge these days but we think we made a great choice. Hopefully, our ownership experience continues to be so positive.

Hot water and ice are the only issues

The ice maker is small and fors not keep up with 2 adults using ice daily.
The hot water takes 5 min to heat up 2 cups, so it is not any faster than a microwave, but adequate if microwave is busy.
The rest of the fridge is awesome.

Great Buy!

My wife and I purchased the fridge 5 months ago and it has worked perfectly. We have absolutely NO complaints about the product. We were even able to upload family pictures to the front screen and it has been a conversation starter. FYI it is a very large fridge so you may need to take the doors off your home to get it in (we did) otherwise I strongly suggest the use of this product.

Awesome Refrigerator!

We absolutely love this refrigerator! I deducted 1 star due to the protective plastic being so difficult to remove. The panels of this refrigerator are wrapped in protective plastic and then assembled. Needless to say the protective plastic is in seams and doesn't come out easily. I spent way more than an hour trying to pick pieces of plastic out of the seams; plastic could be seen. A lot of places I had to use tweezers to pull enough of the plastic out so that it couldn't be seen. The dispenser area was the worst for the plastic problem; the plastic is blue not clear and it is up under areas that are impossible to remove; there are still pieces of the plastic that I can't get out.
Great refrigerator. GE just needs to rethink the protective plastic and put it on after the refrigerator is assembled and not before.
This refrigerator is top of the line without being a really expensive built it.
If you are going to buy a refrigerator, buy the best because you are going to have it for the next 20 years or more.
This refrigerator has a very large capacity. The interior lights are very nice. Every thing about this refrigerator uses spaces as efficiently as possible. The ice maker in the door takes up considerably less space than other refrigerators that we have owned. The panel over the ice maker is very easy to disengage using a handle to allow easy access to the ice bin. The ice bin is easy to remove and put back in. I can take the ice bin out with one hand; that was never possible with any other refrigerators that we have owned. The panel over the ice maker even has a shelf basket to maximize space.
The refrigerator that we replaced was a side by side and it was about the same size as this GE. The side by side was pretty full. I couldn't get over when I transferred everything to the GE that the GE was only about half full. This refrigerator uses spaces so efficiently and everything is easily accessible (not something I could say about our old side by side).
The freezer area uses spaces just as efficiently. It has the bottom areas, then the top sliding shelves. On the inside front is a shelf for small items like frozen orange juice, butter, etc. What an awesome idea! I don't think I noticed this shelf feature when reviewing this refrigerator to purchase.
Overall an awesome refrigerator. GE just needs to address the protective plastic problem.
