My new refrigerator has so much space!

I remodeled my kitchen after 25 years. We bought all GE appliances 25 years ago and have had such great service from them that we have replaced everything with GE appliances again. My new French door refrigerator has so much convenient space and the lighting is just perfect!

haven't had it installed very long, but I love the features. My water dispenser (hot) malfunctioned the first time using it but I removed the panel and found the problem.

We love the stainless steel model! My kids love the hot water dispenser and it heats quickly for warm beverages or soups. I like that it also has a door alarm signal to let you know if the door does not close properly or is open too long. The touch screen is very easy to use and you can even add pictures though a USB port!

Buyer Beware

Refrigerator features are fine, but beware of ice and water dispenser issues and related main board failures. We experienced two issues with in first six months of use, but second issue, that involved replacement of main electronics control board, occurred after the 1 year warranty period. Unfortunately, this has become an all too common occurrence with appliances, as we had similar issue on previous refrigerator too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A little disappointed

The first service call I had to make was to have the plastic wrapping removed from the outside from all the nooks and crannies a couple weeks after install because I could not get it removed with a needle-nosed pliers. It appeared the it was all wrapped in plastic, then assembled. The sales person and the service person were both surprised with all the plastic. The service person had to break the water dispenser paddle to remove the plastic. He had to order a new one.
