Great fridge with bonus freezer space

I cannot rate this 5 stars. We got our first and it never got cold. Had to wait 5 days with a loaner for new one. But GE did not fail us with another great fridge from the Cafe series

Disappointing ice maker

We bought this large nice fridge with all these great features for our big family. It is huge. But the ice maker is not. If you need that big of a fridge the ice maker capacity should match. Guess we’ll be buying ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love our new fridge

Our first time getting to purchase a brand new refrigerator and we are very happy with our choice! We love the external water and ice dispenser and use it numerous times daily. However, we have noticed a tendency for the water button to get stuck in the "pressed in" mode if we push closer to the top instead of the bottom.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The unit looks nice but it does have some issues that are a little frustrating.
- When you have the unit installed, make sure that they install it correctly where there is a slight tilt/lean of the top of the fridge backwards so that the two main doors as well as the freezer pull out drawer, will close automatically. If not, then the door/drawer may not close all the way. The door will close enough to disable the "door open" alarm, but the warmth of your kitchen will melt the ice in the ice bin in your fridge door and melt all over your new hardwood floor and henceforth destroy the new wood floor. Yes it happened to me.

Not as easy as it sounds, trust me.

Overall, great fridge!

We have had this fridge for a few months now. So far we love it and would recommend it.
Pros: large capacity so there is plenty of room to keep things organized, adjustable shelves that are easy to move around to accommodate different size dishes/bottles, easy to use water and ice, doors open easily, looks sleek, water dispenser is low enough for our 5 year old daughter to fill her own water, nice gallon size shelf inside the door.
Cons: the stainless is not smudge free (although it cleans up nicely), the doors don't open very far, so removing drawers for cleaning is somewhat difficult, we like the hot water feature but don't use it as much as we thought we would.

Main item in suite purchase

I needed to find a fridge that we liked. We had a side by side and really didn't think we would like the bottom freezer. But I could not find a side by side with decent drawers they all seem to be a bit difficult to slide in and out empty (which caused a couple broken drawers on old fridge) so loaded would be no better. most french door fridges had rollers but one thing I noticed was most have drawers that don't pull out very far. it is difficult to put stuff in a drawer that doesn't pull out very far. so this was one of the few that did. my wife really wanted a matching suite and the profile series would have possibly allowed me to slip a lower price range in and still match up pretty well my wife and I just didn't like the looks of the tray on the door for the ice maker/water dispenser. and I really like the style of the Cafe.
After reading a lot of reviews on the noise level of this fridge I was a bit nerves about it but noted most fridges had the same complaint. I began paying attention to my old fridge and even though it never bothered me it is quite noisy. The new fridge does seem to run a lot but it is supposed to be more efficient (my newer furnace runs way more than my old one but is way cheaper to run). My old fridge made a more constant noise with an ovational water dipping noise when it defrosted. This new one seems to change pitches and levels more which may draw your attention to it more but, it's only been three days and I am already not noticing it as much.
I am still not sure if I like or dislike the bottom freezer. And really have not had much time to organize the fridge yet either but I do think it may be a little more access friendly than the side by side, just hard to break old habits. And I do like the style and function of the entire suite. Hot water at the fridge is not something I would have looked for and maybe using it will tapper off to not using it but we seem to like it. Pictures on the display is nice and maybe think I would have liked the display a little bigger or even higher
