After having a side by side refrigerator we were excited to get this french door model with more space. It it huge! Even after our weekly grocery trip we still have room in the fridge for more! It has easily movable shelves to accommodate our several drink containers and love the huge deli drawer to fit all the little things that would usually float around the fridge. The freezer is great too as I can finally fit a frozen pizza box laying flat without having to rearrange everything. Go buy this fridge! You won't be disappointed!

Pros: we like the french door concept with the bottom freezer versus our old side-by-side. It took us a while but we were able to get almost everything into the new unit even though it was 2 cubic feet smaller than our previous unit.. Con: The door opening limitations is taking some getting used to and you cannot extract some of the interior drawers without partial disassembly. Pro: We clearly like the larger ice/water dispensing area and the measured dispenser function. Con: The ice making capacity is MUCH less than or old unit. This is a problem since we tend to do a lot of blanching, requiring large amounts of ice. Pro: We like the way the freezer compartment is designed, making retrieval of item much more functional. Con: We must have some loose parts causing noticeable noise when the compressor is running. Pro: I just read you can upload photos onto the control screen. This is a real plus since my wife tended to use the old refrigerator as a display board for photos. Con: We had to remover our cabinet above the old refrigerator in order to get the unit into position. Pro: Because this is an Energy Star rated unit we are looking forward to seeing the effect on our utility bill. Pro: The new water filter is much easier to replace than the old unit.

GE Replaced a unit that didn't work right

New unit never worked correctly; Fan motors has problems and entire unit was very noisy. GE tried 3 repairs; then replaced entire unit. Company was very supportive and nice the entire time.
