Exactly what we needed

This fridge met all of our needs and has been great for our large family. The kids love the water/ice dispenser and I love the hot water dispenser. The fridge does have a hum liked mentioned in other reviews but its a lot quieter than my house full of kids so we hardly notice it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the GE Cafe Series with Hot water dispenser

Made in America was one of the reasons we purchased the Cafe Series with hot water dispenser. We are so happy with it. Addressing other reviews I read - we find it is quiet, we only hear the ice when it is dropping (vs our old fridge heard water filling ice dispenser and ice loading). The only con I have is the butter door does not recede in when opening so you need to hold the butter door open. Our old fridge butter door did recede into top of butter section - never realized until that feature was gone how great it was. Definitely wouldn't stop me from purchasing this fridge again though.

Great features for cooks and bakers

The Precise Fill and Hot Water features sold this refrigerator for. Not once, but twice. I purchased it to replace an old refrigerator and absolutely loved the Precise Fill and Hot Water features because they are time savers when baking and cooking. Then we moved and left the refrigerator with the house while our new home was being built. We purchased this same model for our new home as well. And we still love it!

Disappointed

Not happy with the performance or quality. Started freezing refer section after 2 weeks. Doors don't fully open to allow removal of drawers with out emptying refer and tipping drawers. Design is stupid. Wish I would have purchased a different brand or at least a different model.

Smart screen stopped working

I love this fridge until the led screen died out of the blue. Conveniently after warranty was up. I am hoping we can get it fixed without spending an arm and a leg.

Love this fridge

Don't focus on price as I was before purchasing, my wife was drawn to the fridge. After some back and forth between us we purchased it, it was the best decision I made in a while. I have purchased because of price before and was not happy with the results, this time I'm glad I didnt.You will not be disappointed.

Great refrigerator but could use some improvements

I had a white GE Profile Side by Side for the past 14 years that never failed me, worked great, but stayed at my house when it was sold this summer. My husband wanted the french door stainless in our new place, so we upgraded to this Cafe model since it was the same price as the Profile. We absolutely LOVE the hot water dispenser, as it was something neither of us thought we needed but has become so convenient, even my kids can use it to make their own hot cocoa and tea. It does pose a few challenges to me, as the freezer drawers do not compare (for me) to a side by side. The drawer on top is level and good for smaller, not as thick freezer foods, but my complaint is with the base drawer not being flat. It does not make it easy to store many boxed freezer items well. I also have issue with the relatively small bins up in the fridge part, as we use one for fresh fruits and one for fresh veggies and there is never enough space in these to store either. The bottom drawer is great for meats and cheeses and the temperature can be changed, but the other two need to be a bit bigger for my family. There is also no egg bin included, which was a feature my old Profile came with. Also, the stainless exterior is in no way print-proof, so I have placed my husband in charge if the cleaning since it was his choice :)
