Call the repairman!

We have had our Cafe refrigerator for close to four years and have had a repairman out to fix it six different times. With the cost of this appliance, it is too expensive to start over with a new one. We will never purchase a GE appliance again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible display and water dispenser

After buying this product, only 3 months in the touch on the display stopped working so could no longer change temperature or any other settings. Additionally, the fact that one needs to hold the button on the back to get water does not make sense after setting a designated amount to dispense. Others allow you to set an amount then it dispenses the amount on its own.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your refrigerator has Precise Fill feature which eliminates the need for a measuring cup. It allows you to use any container when you are baking to get just the amount of water needed for your recipe. It isn't the same as the hands free autofill. Lots of Space for Fresh & Frozen Foods!

We selected this refrigerator based on the amount of space available for fresh and frozen foods. The vegie and fruit drawers, as well as the frozen compartments are extra large. However, we would have liked to have more space available in the refrigerator for taller items. Also the door storage space on the left side of the refrigerator is almost unusable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fridge I had to settle for due to limited inventor

I bought this refrigerator over a month now, and so far it’s working as expected. The hot water heater option however is almost useless given the time it takes to get the water to the set temperature. It’s quicker using the electrical kettle to heat water. Other than that, it’s cooling as normal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Some great things, some disappointments

The fridge looks amazing and is spacious. We did not realize that this model does not have the option to add an additional icemaker until we tried ordering the "missing part". Major disappointment. The water dispenser does not have a filling sensor and without that the precision filling option in the menu makes no sense to me. What is the point in setting 32 oz for a large pitcher if I have to hold the pitcher against the back plate anyway and therefore can watch when it is full?
The doors are not self-closing so you always have to give it an extra push to make sure they close completely. On the other hand, when I open the doors with too much joy, they fling open fully and bounce.
Super pretty fridge but missing some practical features.

It's Ok...

It's a nice fridge but the packaging it came in was nightmare to take off...they used this green film material in all the cracks that took weeks to get out. Also, the ice dispenser spits ice everywhere...you really have to put your glass right up underneath it or there will be ice all over your floor. All in all its a nice fridge but a little on the small side on the interior...it takes up a lot of space on the exterior.

GE Cafe French Door

The refrigeration space is a bit disappointing, and not as roomy as what I was used to. However, I am making it work! The freezer space is a bit larger, and that is appreciated! The cafe features on the front are very nice. The ice and water are dispensed quickly, and the ice maker is operating flawlessly! The refrigerator is very attractive on the outside. All in all, I have given a 4-Star rating!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
