Peace of mind when you need it most.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is amazing. I think the best part is that I can finally see who or what’s in my yard when I can’t personally be there. Another huge benefit to this camera is I can keep an eye on the kids and dogs while they are in the yard if I’m stuck inside working. The video quality is beyond what I was expecting. I can clearly see what’s going on and many details. I was pleased to see the quality of video at night time was also great and really makes me feel more comfortable knowing what is going on around the house. Setting up the camera was so easy that anyone with basic knowledge of signing into wifi can do this on there own. The app itself is just as easy to navigate once everything is connected. The camera came packed excellent for shipping and the instructions were very clear. I would highly recommend everyone having one even if it’s just to deter unwanted guest.

Awesome Security Camera!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been extremely impressed with the Swann Outdoor Security Camera. I have recently set this up on the outside of my apartment door and it has brought a feeling or relief and security to myself and family. It is extremely easy to connect your phone with the camera and the picture is crystal clear. I am also able to see a wide range from the camera, which is really nice. We are in the middle of purchasing a home and once that goes through I will definitely be buying more of the Swann Security Cameras for the numerous entrances of the home.

App doesn't work correctly

I have had nothing but trouble with this camera since I bought it. The app ( andriod) that you use to control and view recordings on does not work correctly. I have been back and forwards with technical for months with no solution. No the camera has gone offline and I can't get it back online. I will be removing the camera and sending it back as its not fit for purpose. Avoid this camera or any camera that uses the Swann security app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It has a good wide view of picture and is working as I would expect it to. Nothing goes past this camera without it capturing it and providing a piece of mind for security

App is useless. Camera's ok when they work.

Have had the cams for 2 months. The app is useless. Dates don't line up, clips from random days appear anywhere. Connectivity is hopeless. Motion detection is sketchy. When the cams work the image is fairly good. Would not have paid the money if I knew what they were like.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

needs better operator control

i have had a Swanns camera for 2 christmas's it was a gift it worked great at 1st but then stopped working took that one back to Menards and replaced with another worked fine, I did have problems with their update version for awhile but the only gripe i have now is i wish i could control how long it records for, what its like 15 seconds that's not enough should have a scale that we could choose from because sometimes you need more time and the picture quality could be clearrer. i tried some other cameras that i bought off fb they record constantly and you have to search for some real activity does not have still photo like Swann but picture qaulity is supurb. now if Swann could fix those 2 things i am good

Be careful, these are completely end of life

I bought a secondhand camera which had not had the firmware updated (I wasn't aware of this) Ive Installed it and attempted to pair it to my wifi etc with no luck - I've spoken to swann support today who say this is unusable now. The previous owner should have migrated it and updated the firmware - because it wasn't updated it, its simply a paperweight. You cannot manually connect or force a firmware update to it.
Such a shame considering it probably fully works if you could see the picture.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

About 1 year ago this unit was migrated over to our new application, Swann Security. As mentioned, if this camera was not migrated within the provided window, the firmware may have trouble connecting to the new application. Swann offers a one-year warranty provided a copy of your receipt or 18 months with valid registration. Outside of this timeframe, we are unable to process a replacement free of charge.

Swann Outdoor camera unable to view footage whilst outdoor

I bought this about 12 months ago and must say it was a mistake to buy this, comparing to other similar products (EUFY). After the previous issue of this app, I have a new one just happened for the past few weeks.
The Swann App is basically useless to me at the moment, I can only view live footage or recording when connecting through WIFI (at home), and when I am using my own mobile data (outside), the app will simply say "device disconnected", what's the point to even have a camera when you cannot use it outdoor?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
