I installed this system on my property a month ago and pleased with the results so far. The kit was easy to install and set up. I’m not brilliant at using a pc but found this system user friendly. The graphics on the cameras are excellent. Overall I am very pleased with the whole package and would recommend to friends and family.

System was bought to replace a swann security system that failed due to a power surge so the installation was easy - replace unit and cameras.
The old system recorded an event as soon as it detected movement, this one has a significant delay, even with the sensitivity level set at 1. unless a person is very close to the camera it fails to record. our dog can walk past the camera at about 5 meters and the system does not recognize the movement with either the PIR or supposed heat detection. not really happy.

We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Refurbished 4 Channel Security System: 1080p Full HD DVR-4580 with 1TB HDD & 4 x 1080p Thermal Sensing Cameras. PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. You may need to experiment with the sensitivity settings in the app and camera placement to get the ideal mix of detection.
