Rusty Product

Had very bad experience with this dishwasher. Rust formed with lower racks and rust spoiled our dish plates.
I wish GE can replace the rusty racks.
No other issues with dishwasher.

Average, at best!

The builder put this one in the house, less than 4 years ago. For a week (approx) it would randomly play the little “finished” tune. I went to start the dishwasher this evening and it is DEAD! No lights, no beeps, NOTHING.
I get companies don’t want to build things to last. They want repeat customers every few years. It’s safe to say, I will not replace with another GE appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

5 Years Old - Rust & Broken Circuit Board
on October 24, 2024
Posted by: JP2912
My dishwasher is only 5 years old and rust on the racks started to take over about 2 years ago. Last month it stopped washing all the way through the cycle and would randomly beep. Yesterday it wouldn’t turn on or light up despite checking the breaker and troubleshooting all possible issues. I don’t think these are made well or intended to last past 3 / 4 years. I always used to trust GE but this is all around disappointing. I thought it was just a lemon until I came here to find so many similar complaints. Between the health concerns with the rust and circuit board likely needing to be replaced the cost to repair is more than a replacement. Frustrating is an understatement with this model and GE.

Random beeping
on November 5, 2024
Posted by: Alsodisgruntled
We’ve only had this machine 3.5 years and it has begun randomly beeping, at random intervals. All attempts at troubleshooting have failed. I don’t know if it is just a beep, or an indicator that something is wrong. It still seems to run fine. Online forums suggest it needs a new UI board or a firmware update. Don’t know anything about either of those. But it says to repair it fast or it will stop working all together. We already had to have a service call on it once, which turned out to be a clogged filter behind a panel that the repairman could only access by laying on the ground. We clean the inside filter. How were we to know we needed to remove a panel and clean a second filter?! Appliances just aren’t made how they used to be. Very disappointed. Never buying GE again.

Will not turn on at all.

We’ve had our dishwasher a year and half since we moved into our home. It’s about 5-6 years old and the racks are breaking and rusting out and now we can’t get it to turn on at all. Thought it was the breaker but not the issue. From what I’m reading it’s probably the main board. Great, broken down appliance. GE sure has gone downhill.

Subpar GE Product

This model appears to be faulty. Like other reviews, this dishwasher came with a Lennar new build in 2019. Over the last year, it would randomly chime and then stop working. I’d reset my breaker and unplug the unit. It would randomly work again.
It conveniently died on Thanksgiving—first world problems. Rated 2 stars because it lasted less than 5 years and the bottom rack started rusting around 3 years.

RUST!
on January 7, 2025

The dishwasher runs well. The rack started to rust with in the 1st year of owning. Entire thing is full of rust. I am having to buy a new dishwasher because racks cost just as much as the dishwasher.
