What a pile of junk

About a month into using it the racks began to rust. About a year in the unit started to leak. About a year and a half in it just stopped working. No explanation and not worth getting repaired. The only thing that could be considered positive is that you know when it’s running because you can hear it throughout the entire house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died just after warranty

Used for 1year and it stopped working, no power probably needed a new circuitboard. But good luck trying to install it yourself. Paying someone to come in and test it order the parts becomes an expensive gamble might as well buy a new one which is what I did.

Stopped working after 3 years

Dishwasher worked great for first 3 years. For some time, it worked intermittently. And, then died completely. Seems circuit board issue. I found this as a common issue with this model.

To troubleshoot, we recommend replacing the fuse or resetting the circuit breaker, and you should remove any other appliances from the circuit.
If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Buyer beware.

After only three-and-a-half years, the finish on both the lower and upper racks has bubbled, peeled off, and rusted in many places. I didn't really expect much of an entry-level dishwasher (installed by the builder) but I didn't expect rust after so short a period of time. There are only two of us so we use the dishwasher maybe twice a week. So after just a few hundred uses, the racks are shot.

This unit is good, but this particular model=junk

I work for an apartment community that was finished in 2018 and outfitted with this particular model of dishwasher. Needless to say, the top control panels go bad constantly, which would be fine if GE had a direct replacement. At the beginning of 2021, I received a batch of top control boards that were supposedly configured to the machines and should be direct replacements. Needless to say, none of those boards worked, then they were on back order for at least 7-8 months. The last batch I got also didn’t work. GE has no fix for it as far as I know. So I’ve been replacing the entire unit with machines I can get and know won’t have this same issue

So loud! Cheaply made

Cannot stand this dw that the builder put in. The door comes down close to the ground so everyone’s leg/shoe has caught the top plastic plate & it broke off. It’s only held on by plastic brackets. It is nice that it has a start delay but every time I use & it runs in the middle of the night my husband always freaks out because he thinks someone is breaking in… yes… it’s THAT loud. Miss my Bosche dw! Planning on replacing as soon as we can afford to.

Low lifespan

House was built in 2020. Had to get a new dishwasher because the seals broke down in this model or the condensation trap broke. Whatever the case it had a very limited life.
