Issues with dishwasher after 3 years.

Dishwasher has issues after just 3 years. The racks are rusty and breaking, which upon reading other reviews seems to be a common occurrence. I don't even see the option to purchase replacement rack in their parts. We have also started having a draining issue. At the end of the cycle the water just stays at the bottom. Upon speaking to personal at home appliance stores, dishwashers are supposed to have a life of closer to 10 years. By the time you buy replacement parts and pay someone to fix it, you might as well purchase a better quality one with less headaches. Will not be buying a GE for our next dishwasher.

Hi,
Oh no! We're so sorry that you're having issues with your dishwasher.
It is not possible to determine the product failure rate, lifespan , life expectancy, or life cycle of an appliance, even an approximate age. There are many variables involved, like: frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance (ex. high humidity; near the ocean; etc.), care, and maintenance.
If excessive water is remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher, there are a few things that can cause this issue.

If none of the above suggestions work, service may be needed. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliances technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

After just about 3 years the power board when on this dishwasher as well as the internal parts completely rusted and coating is gone on the racks. For the cost of this machine this is a complete shame. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My wife has incessantly complained about this...

We got this as part of our new home purchase so I'm looking at a new Frigidaire-brand dishwasher. The buttons on the top stick, the label overlay around the buttons fall off, and it has rust inside. Now it is three years later and I am not satisfied so I am making my husband buy me a new one. I had a GE-authorized repairman look at it (that was a chore in and of itself), but he said that it was functioning. Thanks, GE.

My racks have rust spots on them and it's only 2 yrs old. Is there a coating or something I can do to treat the spots? Also, is the top rack height adjustable?
The dishwasher came with our house in Dec 2020.

GDT535PSM0SS dishwasher was installed March 2019 and the upper and lower racks are not safe to use due to rust. We do not have hard water or issues with any of our other appliances (all GE).
