Horrible performance

Skip this model, maybe the brand. This has the worst performance of any dishwasher I have ever owned. Just a year old and it’s running, but won’t stop!
Looks good, but it’s not even okay.. 1/10

It’s a great dishwasher seems pretty standard: my only issue is some times you have tall utensils that will stop the spray arm from spinning

Broken

Bought a brand new house and a brand new dishwasher was installed. Was shipped without one of the door springs so the door slams open. Have only had it about a month and the motor completely stopped.

Dishes come out very dirty
on October 13, 2021

This dishwasher is the worst in my experience, I have to pre-rinse all of the dishes to the point of almost being clean in order for this dishwasher being able to manage a semi-heavy load. Without a prior rinse the dishes /cups/ glassware come out dirty and require manual wash

Hi there - We are sincerely sorry that your dishwasher is not cleaning your dishes properly. This would be very discouraging and completely understand your disappointment.

It's very important that the inlet water temperature is hot before starting your dishwasher. To ensure this, turn on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher and let run until the water temperature stops rising. Then, start the dishwasher and turn off the faucet. Additional troubleshooting tips for this issue can be found on page 19 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000239-1.pdf.

We hope this helps. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns - we're always glad to assist you. Be well, Kelsey@GEA

Response from geappliances.comBy Sarah@GEAGE_AppliancesOctober 20, 2021
Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We hate to hear you are dissatisfied with the features and option for a quick wash, and have a concern over the dishes not drying. We know this must be frustrating, and would like to help.

Cycle times may be longer than they were on past models, as Department of Energy standards regarding water usage have changed over time and the cycle time has lengthened to ensure the same quality performance. This model does feature a 1 hour wash option, however, and further details about the approximate times each cycle takes are available in the manual.

For the drying issue you've experienced, you may want to make sure the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. Using a rinse agent or leaving the door closed when the cycle has ended to allow the fan to run for longer can also help. The manual has additional troubleshooting steps, and is available here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000239-1.pdf . We hope this information helps to resolve the drying problem, but our service department is also available at 1-800-432-2737 if needed.

Your feedback on your experience with the model will be sent to our Dishwasher Design team for review; we value your insights. If you have any other questions or concerns, we're always glad to help. -Sarah@GEA
