Basic Model installed by Ryan Homes.

WE purchased a new ryan home and this came with the house. For comparison, our last dishwasher was a Bosch, which we'd rate excellent for cleaning ability construction and whisper quiet operation. As compared to that baseline, this GE model looks good and it's more spacious. However,On the other side of the balance sheet, it cleans poorly (everything has to be pre-rinsed). It's a moderate noise level and it feels much more cheaply made. I'm filling out the warranty because other homeowners have reported higher than average failure rates

Dishwasher

I have been using this dishwasher for couple of months and having same problems every time i load dishes. Once the washing cycle is complete it leaves water underneath. It is not fully removing all the water from the dishwasher once the wash/heat cycle is completed. There is a significant amount of water that remains in the bottom and it creates an issue of bad smell.

Doesn't meet the expectation

Dishwasher takes long time to complete the cycle. No option to only dry the utensils.
Always clogging and doesn't clean properly.

Does not clean well and silverware is spotty

Using Jet Dry Finishing Rinse Aid and silverware is still spotty. Happens when using normal or 1 hr cycle. If it shows on the silverware, then the dishes are probably just as spotty - just not as noticeable.

Will not start reliably. Unnecessarily temperament

When it works, it is just OK. Even with the heated dry option things come out wet and have to be dried. I've never had the issue with other brands. The biggest problem is that it may or may not start.

Not quite what we expected

Installed in a new construction home. The build quality seems light, there isn't much sound insulation (noisy), the door gaskets falls off on the reg and the tub is plastic instead of stainless steel. Just seems lower end.
