New technology works!

This is our first induction cooktop. It works very well. It heats pans and contents quickly, cooks well at low temperature also. Not noisy. There is a lot of stainless and aluminum with stainless base cookware that works well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great cooktop. Very fast and efficient. I like the safety features like auto shut off. Cool to the touch. Looks good too.

I had to call GE appliances to fix it ! They came & order parts !
They came later to install them but still didn't work!
They called GE factory & after more attempts finally they got it to work

Beautiful Cooktop!

Best looking induction cook top in our opinion. Controls work well and cooking performance is as expected. Only issue was that the supplied foam tape that is applied under the outer edge of the cooktop during installation was severely distorted as received and difficult to apply correctly. Otherwise, no cosmetic or performance issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Defective Product- Cooktop does not work

We purchased this for a new home on 11/3/16. We moved into the home Christmas week needing cooking appliances for family guests for the holiday. We purchased a J.A. Henckels induction cookware in advance. At first use, the sync burners did not work, immediately shut off. Tried to boil pasta, stayed on for a couple of minutes and shut off. In fact, all of the burners shut off just after a short time for no reason. Now, we have no cooktop for the family gathering during the holidays, very upset! . Buyer BEWARE of this model. You are taking you're chances if you do, as I see that some work, and others don't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this cooktop is pretty incredible.. can boil water in under a minute>>! my only comment is that i wish the entire surface was a cooktop.. that would allow me to sneak another pan on the top instead of using the designated "elements"

Works great but failed once

We very much enjoy this unit as our first induction cooktop. It looks great and performance is as expected. I agree with some of the critical comments on the installation instructions as not specific to this item but common sense should have you work through it easily. Also agree on the cutoff size being a little bit off as the size is a hair less than indicated. As a result I have the uncomfortable impression that the unit is holding by the cover glass as opposed to the metal lip so am hesitant to put too much weight on it. My biggest concern though is that three months after install, the two lateral zones stopped working (woke up one morning and both zones had fried control panels and the breaker had tripped). This was fixed under the one year warranty but now I am hesitant to dismiss the extended warranty offers on this item. I have seen only one review reporting similar issue so hard to say if I was unlucky at this point. Because of that I would not recommend to a friend, although I very much enjoy the product..

While I have only had a chance to use a few times before the holidays, it worked great. Takes a little getting used to after using electric for 30 years but what an improvement. Won't say that this review holds much weight as I have only had it a couple of weeks but so far so good. I received many compliments on it by those who have seen it.
