I’ve been using The Cafe induction cooktop for 2 months. It has been a fantastic upgrade from my previous electric cooktop, which was easy to clean, but took a while to heat up & lower temperature. The Cafe induction temperature control is very responsive in heating & cooling with the touch on the digital dial, & is a breeze to clean. I purchased a Cuisine-art pro s/s pot set. I also use my cast iron pots (with paper towel underneath), & a cast iron griddle which spans over the bridging elements. Cast iron takes longer to heat but retains its heat well so I didn’t notice any cool spots. Using Paper towel is also great for frying, & makes cleaning really easy. I seldom need the highest settings unless I’m boiling water. My husband was skeptical changing to induction, but enjoys cooking on it too. The timer is a nice bonus.
After only a few months, the glass cracked and we have no idea why.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello - Thank you kindly for the review and feedback. It is extremely important to us.
We are so sorry to hear about the glass top cracking, that is definitely frustrating and troublesome to deal with. We are definitely going to forward this over to our product team to review. Again, we apologize about the damage.
I have had induction cooktops before, but this one is rather touchy. If I set anything on the cooktop it tries to turn on and when it can't it turns off all the burners. I also have to remember to turn ON a burner before choosing a heat setting. These are minor problems, and I am enjoying the 5th burner. Would purchase again.
This cooktop heats pots pans and their contents faster than anything I have ever cooked on in the past. My new cooktop also cooks more evenly and maintains the temperature better than any other cooktop that I have used.
