This is what it feels like to love cooking??!!

This cooktop is amazing!!! I’ve cooked using a gas range, a regular radiant electric range and radiant electric cooktop and there is no comparison to this cooktop. This is the best cooking appliance I’ve ever used and I’m so glad we chose it. I couldn’t be happier! This thing heats up & cools down so fast that it has totally changed the way I cook everything. Words can’t even express how pleased I am with the performance, ease of installation and ease of use of this device. If I could give it 1000 stars I would. Best purchase I’ve made all year!!!
Note: The new 36” cooktop replaced a super old 46 “ cooktop. The wood framing in the back is temporary until the downdraft vent is installed. Also we added a cutting board to fill the rest of the space on the side.

This cooktop is very lovely. It was easy to install and I've had a great time cooking with it. Super easy to use and cleans up like a charm. I'm new to induction cooking so I am learning to watch things pretty carefully. Overall would definitely buy again!

Didn’t know what I was missing until my first few times using my cafe induction cooktop top. I love to cook and living in FL it’s sometimes hard to find gas in your area. My new home does not have gas as an option unless I wanted to put in a massive tank in my property, and the cost to fill them can be costly. I heard about induction cooktops and our friends had a cafe. I gotta say it’s the closest technology to cooking on gas. We bought some All Clad cookware. I didn’t appreciate just how quickly a pot of water takes to boil. About 90 seconds!! I was so impressed. The food cooks evenly too. We also have a Cafe double microwave and wall oven. So far we’re impressed with all our Cafe appliances. The app is a great too. It sends you a notification when your stove top is turned on as a safety feature in the event you got the digital button by accident to alert you tgat the cooktop is on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very disappointed

After only a few months, the glass cracked and we have no idea why.

Induction burners stay hot for a long period of time Induction burners can be turned on by placing something on the burner The lock button has to be used at all times - especially when leaving your house in case you have a cat We now shut the breaker off when leaving the house The fan for the induction burners is loud - very loud - if you use a burner on any setting more than medium low the fan goes on The unit shuts itself off if you use two burners on high at the same time The red indicator light for each burner will blink on and off then the burner shuts its self off The color of the cook top is odd I thought it wouldn't be bad with stainless appliances every single person in my kitchen asks why the cook top is this color The humming of the burners is more than annoying I bought all new all clad induction pots and pans the noise is similar to your brain as noise on a chalk board more than irritating

Enjoy cooking on this, its been great. Only been installed for 4 months and the corners of the cooktop have chipped since it is made of glass. I am not hard on my appliances at all, was really disappointed on how there is no trim kit for around the glass cooktop. Also it is very touchy to water, etc. if boiling water and it splashes on the cook top, it can cause it to turn off, happens more than id like it to.

Worked well for 1 year then failed

Worked really well for 1 year, then the right two burners started shutting off after only 5-10 minutes of use. This is totally unacceptable for a cooktop in this price range!
I really hope GE can provide a permanent solution. "resetting" the cooktop by shutting off the breaker has done nothing to resolve it. Thought we did our due diligence when researching this unit back in 2021.
