I bought this product & it didn't work

I had to call GE appliances to fix it ! They came & order parts !
They came later to install them but still didn't work!
They called GE factory & after more attempts finally they got it to work

Great cooktop but very sensitive

I recently remodeled my kitchen and put in this stove. I love the appearance and the functionality; however, it is very sensitive. I have yet to find a set of stainless steel pans that work. We will put the pans on medium and the stove will turn off after only being on five minutes. We are now trying various pans to see what we can use that will actually work. Had I known the difficulty in finding pans, I would more than likely have chosen against induction.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cooks well

We bought this one year ago. It heats up water faster than my microwave. I have enjoyed cooking on it. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because my beloved cast iron skillets left brown stains, even with a paper liner, after one month of use and I cannot get them off. We no longer use the cast iron.

Uneven cooking

We’ve had this about 18 months. It’s easy to clean, pretty when new (like all glass cooktops, scratches easily) and it does indeed boil water quickly. That is where my praise ends.
You can not use a conventional thermometer with this, you have turn off the burner, measure the temperature and then turn the burner back on. We tried a fancy and expensive thermometer but that only gives the surface temperature, not an accurate reading. If you are doing something time sensitive, this all matters. Examples include candy, cheese or yogurt.
It’s very noisy, the more burners used, the louder it thrums.
If you boil something over, the whole cooktop shuts down.
The real downside for me, I saved for last. The burners do not cook evenly. You have to keep all the food to one side of the pan for the hottest part of the surface.
I miss my gas range that was a pain to clean but it was easy to use and always performed well.

To date I am happy with the product. It has been easy to use and clean. One zone did not work after installation and after three attempts with GE Appliance Repair it was finally repaired.

Beautiful Cooktop

I love the ease of use of my new cooktop. The digital dials are easy to read and my food has cooked to perfection. The timer is a handy feature. A great advantage is that clean up is a breeze! The appearance of the cooktop is sleek
and contemporary, and the neutral gray color is a perfect compliment to my granite countertop.

Induction cooktop

Only recently installed. Great cooktop, heats very efficiently. Requires daily cleaning to keep surface clean. Very nice features and it looks great. Must use correct cookware for optimum performance.
