Induction virgin

This is my first experience with an induction stove. The burners turn off if the pan is not the correct size. It takes a while for the pot to boil if the pan isn’t perfectly inside the burner. Once you get the hang of it the ability to adjust the temp quickly is great. It does require a specific kind of pan so we had to get rid of several ones that didn’t work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works adequately with severe limitations

Really disappointed in this cooktop. We love the rest of our Cafe appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, wall oven, wall microwave/oven combo). The cooktop functions fine but within very strict limits. Aside from stainless steel (or cast iron), cookware has to be larger than the circles indicating the cooking zones. If it is not larger, then the cooking zone does not recognize it and shuts off. The largest cooking zone is so large that the vast majority of stock pots or sautee pans do not meet the size requirement.
With so many high-end cookware lines designing cookware to be induction compatible while also more aesthetically pleasing and non-stick, enamel-coated, non-toxic, etc. it is highly disappointing that we are limited by our cooktop to basic stainless steel or cast iron. Outside of those options it is highly possible that we would only be able to use one cooking zone at a time because the other zones are not compatible with cookware that functions beautifully on other induction cooktops.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great stovetop!

We love this stovetop. It heats up so quickly and cooks evenly. We don't have little kids anymore, but the quick cooling down is also nice to have.

Great cooktop, but broken glass caused by gap

The level of control and the amount of sheer power available are impressive and useful.
Unfortunately, the glass surface is apparently very fragile. Last weekend, a plastic container of cinnamon (less than one point in weight) fell from our spice cabinet and struck the bottom right corner of our cooktop, causing several large cracks (a corner has broken completely off of the unit). The glass surface rest about 1/8-1/4” off of the countertop with foam trim between. This gap may have contributed to the ease in which the unit cracked.

sometimes technology is great..

Always preferred gas stove tops but I'll tell you this cook top is amazing. Infinite number of adjustments to cook with and really like the cooktop doesn't get hot like all other stoves, don't have to worry as much about little fingers.
