A big upgrade from our gas cooktop

I'm working on switching our whole house away from gas to be fully electric. Replacing a gas cooktop with induction was the most controversial in our house. We've all gotten used to it, and it cooks just as well, and often better, than gas. We no longer have to run the fan just to boil water (to expel byproducts of burning gas). Spills clean up so much easier without the grates to deal with. The touch controls are very intuitive. We had a to buy a few more pots and pans to replace aluminum ones that were not compatible.
I selected this model because it fit the existing cutout best, but on the short dimension it wouldn't fit at first. I had to sand down the granite edge enough so that it would slide in. There are also some vents in the back that were blocked by the plywood underlayer. I had to saw it at an angle so that it could have some airflow.

With induction heating everything cooks so evenly! I’ve only had it for a few weeks now so I’m still learning and trying to take advantage of all its features but I have no complaints!

Extraordinarily easy to keep clean

I bought the induction because my wife boils everything over and in two years we wore off all of the markings, and after 6 months of use it still looks brand new. I also love how quickly it boils water.

Never had induction cooktop/stove before and wasn't sure if I would like it, but it is wonderful. Takes no time for things to heat up. Come this cooktop because of the color, burner sizes, controls and the induction.
