DOA on arrival

Purchased brand new installed and wouldn’t come on. Two choices. Return and wait during COVID for an unknown amount of time (at least a month) for a replacement or have the tech order two boards for a brand new cooktop. Need it so we went with the repair to be completed within two weeks. . Hope that’s the right choice This is a new home build and every appliance is GE.

Excellent cooking performance, but annoying.

Generally excellent cooking performance with some annoying characteristics. First, it’s noisy when cooking. Even with high quality cookware it rings and pings enough to annoy me. That might just be the way induction ranges work. Second, the capacitive touch controls are very annoying. They freak out occasionally when water spills on them, to the point where it takes several minutes to get it cleaned and restarted cooking. I would much prefer knobs.

Love the easy cleanup. Also like how fast it heats. Their is a learning curb. Should be a cookbook with it.
