Great stovetop

I love this stove top and it works great. This is my first induction cooktop, and so far it has worked just how I want it to. Only downside is that the touch buttons are sensitive to touch. Sometimes water can lower, raise or even shut off the burners.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Powerful and easy to use

We’ve been using this cooktop for 4.5 years now. It’s been a joy to boil water in less than 2 minutes and control the burners by touch.
It’s a good thing the touch controls have a lock, because otherwise our cat turns them on with her paws. (She can unlock them too if she stands on the unlock button long enough.) We have to make a habit of leaving nothing on the cooktop when we’re not in the kitchen.
On our first unit, four out of five burners had a total failure after 4 years of regular use. The parts were back ordered so they offered us a completely new unit for the cost of the parts. We’re pleased with the offer, but we’re hoping that this unit doesn’t fail again!
The reason we bought this expensive Cafe line is to use the wireless thermostat tool. However, that tool has been sold out for a while and we’ve never gotten to use the wireless control functions. Had we known that would be an issue, we would have purchased a less expensive induction cooktop.

Great features

Bought this to replace a built in range top when remodeling our kitchen. Easy to use and cooks fast. The only complaint is pans must have flat bottoms and have steel in them for use. No stainless steel or non-magnetic cook wear will work. Fortunately, I already owned the cookwear needed for use.

Better than gas

I was skeptical about induction cooking but have learned that it is far superior to natural gas. This cooktop heats water extremely fast and cleans up beautifully.
The only thing I would say that could pose a problem is the glass for the cooktop. Pots need To be set down gently or it could break and the glass may scratch if a rough bottom pot is used.
The functionality of this cooktop far outweighs any concern toward the glass top. I have learned to be careful instead of slamming them down like I did with my previous gas stove. It is an adjustment but well worth it!

We have used the cooktop for 30 days now and have had no problems. Very nice, quick and even heat. The two left elements have worked well for a griddle and pancakes.

Noisy interference with under-cabinet lighting

Great performance, except I cannot stand the horrible noise it makes when the under-cabinet lighting is on. Wish I could use both at once, but sadly I can’t.
