Only issue I have is the corners. Worried they will get broke and the noise it makes to heat up

This is our 2nd GE Cafe induction cooktop. We bought one a few years before selling our last house and missed it in our new house so we had to buy one. The fast start and stop is the absolute best.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wifi connection doesn't work

Paid a lot for this unit for it not to work correctly. It doesn't connect to the Smart App. I've gone through the process about 30 times myself and with tech support on the phone several times and then following the same directions again that they sent me in e-mail. It always gets hung on "finding your appliance in the cloud". It never does and eventually times out. Very frustrating that all the fancy features I paid for don't work. Would not buy again nor recommend this unit. Wish I had saved money on another brand that was cheaper since the high end features don't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just to verify the WiFi label should be on the Cooktop Communication Module that needs to be plugged into the cooktop (there is an RJ45 port on the bottom) to commission the product. This Module is provided in a separate box w/ the cooktop. Also, there is a 2nd label that is provided in the literature bag. If you need to reorder, WB27X32243 should be the most update to date module for this unit. Please be sure you are using the Smart HQ App. For further assistance, call the Connected Home Support Line at 1-800-220-6899, Monday -Friday 9am - 11pm ET, Saturday - Sunday 9am - 3pm ET, or email connected@help.geappliances.com. We hope that this information is helpful and you are able to use this feature once and for all.

Elegant culinary appliance

I looked at several high-end induction tops before ultimately purchasing the GE Café stovetop. I loved the truffle feature. I had no idea the top would include the Heston Cue Smart pan. What an innovate, precise way to cook

Not what I imagined it to be

I truly enjoy cooking and I was really excited to get this cooktop. Unfortunately when I derived it wasn't what I thought it would be. The wife I can only be used with a certain type of pan. It has to be Wi-Fi compatible. Some of the burners don't work very effectively. I've tried different size pans and the pan really does have to fit the burner for it to work so if you have three similar-sized saw spots that you want to use for cooking you can't. I haven't even found a pan that works on the large Center burner yet. And I've tried a really large pan! Sometimes it Heats quickly. Sometimes it takes forever. And it's quite inconsistent
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The issue you and your wife are having, may be due to the cookware you are using. The induction element may not activate if the cookware you are using is too small.

Simple design

We have had this for a few weeks and the wife is very happy with it. What a difference from the old gas cooktop we've been using for the past 20 yrs. Easy clean up and fast cooking. Requiring a new set of pans was a pleasant requirement.

Noisy interference with under-cabinet lighting

Great performance, except I cannot stand the horrible noise it makes when the under-cabinet lighting is on. Wish I could use both at once, but sadly I can’t.
