Poor reliability

The product is a great idea but GE hasn't engineered the unit to be reliable and doesn't have the parts for repair. Right now the cooktop is a very expensive piece of art in the middle of my island countertop. I could not recommend this product.

Horrible unit

This unit gave me problems from the beginning. I had cold stops from heat elements and no starts at all. Called for warranty service and Assurion refused to fix the stove due to glass they broke. Worse stove ever. They tried to update electric unit with module and this did not work. All techs hate this unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ge Cafe 36'' induction cooktop

We installed cooktop in June 2017 and two right burners have recently failed and will no longer maintain their connection. A range of this price should last min 10 years. Very disappointed with quality.

Amazing safety features and fast heating

This induction cook top has a lot of great safety features! I love how it has a lock for the burners and it does not heat if there are no pots/pans on the burner. It heats really fast, a small pot of water will start to boil just over a minute. It's very user friendly for my elderly mom who is 90 yrs old!! It's a beautiful cooktop with so many amazing features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First time with a induction cook top

Being the first time I have use an induction cook top, it took a little time to get used to how quickly pans got hot. The finger controls also took some getting used to but work well now. Temperature control of the elements is quite accurate; I can easily keep something warm without it sticking. I do have to watch when trying to heat food up too quickly, it can scorch the bottom before the rest of the pan is even warm. The glass top is easy to keep clean.

Very Fragile Glass Top

See attached picture of cracked edge from a pot cover, such an expensive appliance should be more durable. be very careful if you purchased this product.
