We should have installed this cooktop years ago. Has turned our old stove into a wonderful 21st. Century unit. Super fast cooking with controls that allow for easy setting at any level.

LOVE, is the only word I can use to describe this cooktop. Please be aware the of the difference in this Cafe and the Profile. The main difference is that the dials light up on the Cafe and do NOT on the Profile. The Profile is black and the Cafe is dark gray.

Frequent failures right out of the box.

From the very first time I used it, all burners on this product have had an intermittent failure where they shut off after a few minutes at a high or even medium high temperature. I tried using several different kinds of pots and pans, as well as taking out the drawers underneath the cook top, but the failures continue. I'll be doing my Thanksgiving cooking on portable induction burners from another manufacturer while I wait for GE to address this issue. I'll have a hard time ever trusting GE products again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had gas range for the past 12 years and just moved to house that had no gas. So I bought an induction cooktop. Love it. Cooks everything faster and when you need to stop heat it does it instantly..

I began using my new GE induction cooktop on 7/21/2016. Eight days later, two burners began to cut off after a minute of cooking. I would turn them on and they would work for one minute, then cut off, repeatedly. It was repaired under he GE warranty and, the same evening, all 5 burners began to cut off after one minute of cooking. All new parts were installed, and when the repairmen tried to turn on the cooktop, it would not work at all and never again came on. Finally, 7 weeks after the first burner failure, GE replaced the cooktop with the same model. That was 9/23/2016. Now, as of 10/18/2016, burners have cut off seven times, and are now cutting off daily.
I love induction, but this product has engineering problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Without an option for natural gas and not favoring electric cooking, we opted for induction. pretty cool technology. biggest difference is cookware and learning how to season magnetic stainless pans. I plan to enjoy this sleek cooktop for years to come

Love this cooktop... It is easy to use with its touch controls, heats up quickly with only compatable pots/pans... needed to buy some new ones, but was well worth it.
