The unit has plenty of draw but the sound is ridiculously loud for a residential kitchen. I wish i had better advise bore having my custom hood made.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s unexpected to hear that your new vent is much louder than anticipated. We want to help. The most common cause for loud or abnormal airflow noise is improperly sized ducting. This hood requires 8” ducting to perform optimally. You can find more information on page 17 of your use and care manual, linked below.

Hood insert is wonderful. inserting the baffle metal filters and grease pan instructions not so good.
