Quiet but powerful!

Great vent hood! Powerful motor to clear fumes but extremely quiet! Added bonus are the LED lights. Looks great also!

We are on our third hood in five months

Our first two hoods had electrical problems where they randomly shut off. We had a technician out about 4 times replacing different pieces and troubleshooting and we are about to receive our third hood next week. I would NOT recommend buying this hood I believe it is a new appliance for GE as replacement parts were not even available originally because it was so new, and they obviously have some kinks to work out!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOUD, Poor Manufacturing

We received this hood only to find out that the manufactured size of the hood is larger than the install spec supplied in the installation guide by 1/8 of an inch. To be so far our of spec is very poor quality in manufacturing. This meant that we had to get the cabinet maker to modify the hood opening after the cabinet was installed. A very inconvenient truth. There are also rivets on the outer edge that left groves in the opening of the cabinet and there is no trim supplied to cover that mess.
The hood is also loud. Not that I care about the noise, just I see that most ppl are saying it's super quiet and that is not what I hear. I would not purchase this unit. Fix your manufacturing quality GE, and supply some trim with your hood to cover your mess.
