Fabulous Ovens

I bought this model for my kitchen remodel project. I was installed four weeks ago and I have to say that it is one of the easiest and best cooking ovens I have ever owned. It heats and cooks evenly in all modes, it's easy to program and has some wonderful features I really appreciate. First, it's been years since I owned a double wall oven and it made this Thanksgiving easy: a turkey in one, pies in the other. Pies out, roasting vegetables in. When the turkey was done, rolls went in. No problem of last minute baking or roasting. I also enjoy the convection feature. It allows me to shorten cooking times...and the roasting is perfection.
The oven cavities are super large, so even my family's oversized roasting pans and cookie sheets fit in easily. And the center shelf rolls out easily, so it was simple to check and remove the large and heavy roasting pans. In my opinion this is a fantastic dual wall oven. The only con I can think of is that the preheat cycle could be quicker. Other than that...perfection.

Bought this a month ago and so far the oven is working great. Oven glass is a little delicate easily scratched; don't like the racks but overall, love all the features of the oven..

This oven replaced a Viking double oven I had for 20 years. From the start that oven didn’t heat right, I am so happy with this purchase because the temperature is dead-on accurate! Finally I can set the temp and not worry about it being too hot. Thanksgiving was a breeze with this spacious double oven. Love there is a timer for each oven as well. The only con is the quiet tone to the timer, fine if I’m in the kitchen, but can’t hear it from another room. Pros far outweigh this small problem, very happy with this oven!!

Bought this for our kitchen that we rebuilt and we are so happy we did. Everything cooks evenly and is so hot! GE Convection oven = quality, reliability, great features and looks great too!.

Still learning how to use this beautiful oven

For our kitchen rebuild we replaced a 20 year old GE profile convection oven with this sleek modern version. There are some significant differences between the new and the old and I am still learning how to use all the various modes. For instance, the older oven had a bottom element, a broiler element, and a element around the fan in the rear. For convection modes, the fan ran at a constant, fairly fast speed. The two convection modes were bake, which used only the element in the rear, and roast, which used the broil element.
The new oven has additional options, including 6 convection modes. The fan in the back now cycles on and off, slow and fast. In the regular convection bake mode, it runs slow or off. In the "multi rack" convection bake mode the fan runs faster and more often. In the convection roast mode, the fan runs slow or off, and instead of using just the broiler element, all 3 elements are used. There are three convection broil modes, of which the convection broil low is similar to the old convection roast but you can't set the temperature. The new convection roast doesn't cook a chicken as fast as the old one.
Temperatures are fairly accurate. I like the wi-fi feature but use it mostly to avoid getting up from the couch to see see what's going on.
The new oven has some definite improvements. The control panel looks more robust than the old membrane panel, and the oven vents out below the bottom oven, instead of directly under the controls like the older one. The telescoping racks are nice but I had to bend one a little to get it to slide in and out without binding.
The probe feature works a little different than the older oven but once you figure it out it functions. You have to dial in the probe temperature and then set the oven temperature.
All in all I am quite pleased with how it looks and performs, and hope that it's reliability fulfills my expectations.
