Not quite satisfied

Hood doesn't pull out food odors and can't get lights to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As for the issue with the light not working, we would recommend checking the circuit breaker to make sure it has not been tripped. We also have a list of troubleshooting steps to improve air circulation performance on page 8 of the manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-2000062.PDF
If the above steps do not solve the issue for you, we recommend scheduling an appointment with our factory service and repair team by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or by visiting https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

The look is sleek and modern. It has a variety of vent settings which make it perfect for whatever I am cooking. I had to purchase the extension because I have 10 ft ceilings, but still looks and works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice but a glass is too modern for a cooker

I prefer the non glass option bc this look if more for show than function. It works well. If you want a very modern look then this good is for you.

Excessive vibration

Nice unit but vibration at higher speeds is excessive. Had service tech check it out and he replaced the motor but there was no change. Implied it was normal.

Love this hood, how it looks and how it works!

We have a low ceiling and I was concerned about the visual mass of a ventilating hood in the space. This hood offers plenty of power without the bulky look. The auto shut off feature is a big win for me, I use that all the time. This would be a five star if the lamps were LED.
