Great looking and great features

The GE Cafe cooktop has exceeded all my expectations. It is the first thing people notice when they enter our kitchen. It is stylish and stands out. In addition the features and functionality are top notch. We especially like the gas shutoff safety feature. When you have the feature on it prevents the gas from flowing and the burner from turning on. A great feature if you have children or pets. Overall would highly recommend this cooktop.

Quality is lacking

Lacks quality. The knobs on my cooktop as shown in the pictures will melt if a hot pot or griddle comes in contact. Also, the main SS surface scratches way to easy. Both this issues make for a low quality product not what is expected when you pay the Cafe premiums
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice to have the fifth burner

Still getting used to the stovetop because the knobs are opposite of what we had on our old stove. Instead of turning left to light the flame on this one, we turned right to light the flame on our old stove.
The flame seems to be evenly spaced around the burner. We cooked paella in a big paella pan on the middle burner. It took a long time, but that was because it was supposed to go in the oven after initial cooking, but our new oven hasn't arrived yet. So we had no oven to put it in.
We also have the downdraft fan which I'm loving. It's relatively quiet and hides away when we don't need it.

Cook top

Love my cook top. I went with bronze copper knobs to match the rest of my kitchen. Unfortunately the knobs for some reason are a lot darker than the handles on the rest of my appliances

Love my cooktop, not the cheap knobs

I would rate the cooktop a 4, but a 1 for the cheap plastic knobs that look like stainless steel. I bought my cooktop in 2020 and
installed in spring of 2021 and 2 of my knobs
are already damaged/peeling. I would expect quality knobs for the price I paid.

Great so far

It performs very well and I especially like that the knobs are lit. However the knobs are slightly higher than the cooktop grill so they become scratched very easily if you pull a pot or pan towards you.
I would recommend this to a friend!
