Rust

I have reported rusting issues with the grill and caps and G&E have yet to reply. Cooktop is just 2 months old, very minimal usage and wash with soap and water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry for the issues you've had with your burner caps. Moisture or water left on the parts can cause them to rust. We recommend spraying the burners or wiping them down with vegetable or canola oil after using them. This should help protect the cast iron burners and keep them from rusting. Griddle feature

I am trying to learn how to (if needed) to season the griddle prior to its first use. I looked at the griddle section in the owners manual online. It did not indicate if it was needed, or not. Also the manual said the "table below" would show heat settings for various foods on the griddle and there is no table shown.
I am still learning the burner settings to use, but it seems to be a good quality appliance.

Bought this 3 months ago and really glad we did. Very nice cooktop. Even heat, with multiple size burners for different size pots and pans. High quality. Well made. Highly recommend.

Great features

I purchased this cook top 10 months ago. Came in just in time for the Fourth of July celebration at my home. Love the lock feature for the gas controls. Love the flat top grill I will be using often. And I love the full flat top for moving pots off burner.

I bought this in March, waited till May to get it. It’s hard to clean the surface and the griddle is so hard to clean that I only used it twice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
