Sleek and efficient cooktop

I like this sleek cooktop because it is pretty straightforward- no extra bells or whistles. I just wish it had some indicator arrows on the knobs, as it is so easy to confuse the on/off position if you dont pay attention.

Hard to Keep Clean - Would Not Purchase Again

Before purchasing I saw several reviews mentioning how hard the cook top is to keep clean. Unfortunately I didn't listen and thought it can't be that bad. We love the cook top, but would not purchase again due to the effort and time required to keep it clean. Every time you use the cook top, it takes 15-20 minutes to get it clean. Cleaning around the knobs is impossible and extremely frustrating. We do use the products recommended by GE and follow their tips for cleaning, so don't even bother sending me the link. We've resorted to covering the unused portion of the cook top with paper towels while cooking. After owning the product almost a year, I've had enough. I'm considering selling it even though I would never receive anywhere close to what it's worth. I will NEVER purchase another glass top stove. Our old GE ceramic stove was a breeze to keep clean unlike the time-consuming, frustrating process cleaning this one. If you cook one meal a day, count on 15-20 mins cleaning. If you cook more than one meal a day, I would steer clear unless you're willing to invest up to an hour total time keeping it clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Huge design flaw

Poor design and poor materials
Very disappointing that the fine print of the manual says “don’t spill on cooktop or it can potentially cause pitting of the finish. Especially sugary foods.... Who cooks and never spills anything?!! No matter how careful you are, spills still happen!! What poor design and shame on a bunch of engineers for putting out a product that only looks good for a minute. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COOKTOP, you’ll only be wasting your $$

Great look!

Always been a GE fan based on appearance, durability, and endurance. I bought this cooktop replacing a whirlpool range. It has a clean glass finish that is easy to maintain and its features are easy to operate.
I would recommend this to a friend!
