Love the power boil feature

Power boil is amazing! Actually boils faster than gas. I have been very impressed with this cooktop! It was installed by builder in spec home we bought. We originally thought we would change to Gas after home closed. But will not now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A bit disappointed

I bought this in July to replace my older model from 1992. For such a long time difference there were not many changes for the better. My biggest problem is that the writing showing the positions of the knob indicator is so light I cannot see it. This is a really big problem. It should light up or be in a brighter white.

Nice to have five burners.

Burners work as expected. There are some unforeseen disappointment. The number markings are so faint they can't be seen in normal daylight even here in sunny AZ. They require an overhead light to be legible. The knobs are so large they sometime interfere with some of the front burners if you use a large pan. The red "hot burner" warning light is small and obscured from vision unless you are directly over the stove top. The "off" position of the knobs at the top (12 O'clock) position is counterintuitive and leads to confusion as to how hot you have set the burner temperature. Wouldn't it be better at the bottom (6 O'clock) where down is "off" and up means "on"?

A great alternative to gas!

My wife is a chef and was a bit heartbroken when we bought a house without gas, but really fell in love with this cooktop. Linking the two burners on the left for grill pans and griddles is a total benefit, plus 5 total burners makes Thanksgiving dinner for 8 people go more smoothly than we'd even hoped for!

Cracked after 12 1/2 months

We had a GE cooktop for 18 years and replaced it with this one that cracked when we turned it on 3 weeks after our 1 year date of purchase.

Great Cooktop

Very pleased with my new cooktop. I have not had a chance yet to use all the features like the dual element or the keep warm setting. I absolutely love the modern look and the LED backlit knobs. I was worried about the knobs being on the front of the cooktop rather than on the side, but they are not in the way using the cooktop, and I actually think I like them better in the front—probably a personal preference issue. I also like that the knobs are easily removed so cleanup is a breeze. GE was true to its fit guarantee—replaced a 30” Frigidaire and the fit was perfect.

I can't stand this stove top. Within a week of installation it has very fine scratches from the pots. My pots are nearly new Calphalon. The stovetop is a nightmare to clean and then polish. I will say this is my first and only Ceramic stovetop, if you are a normal cook who drips, over boils , splashes, or fries know wipe up is relatively easy it will smear and have to be polished every time you use it. I have better thing to do but I won't leave a streaked mess sitting.
