The power boil option is great to use. I like the syncs burner option as well.

Warning lights a plus, but if you pull knobs off to clean surface then put them back on, if you push to far down the Warning light comes on

All aspects of our new GE electric stovetop work perfectly. The burners are terrific and the LED safety lights and Lock knob are so welcomed in these retirement years. And, clean up is a breeze - just remember to remove the cleaning product immediately after application and then shine back to that just delivered look!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It just quit working after 1 year unfortunately requiring a service call that is very pricey

I like having five burners.

I replaced my old GE cooktop. The only problem was the control board. I replaced it with the same type but this one has five burners which I really like. Plus I can keep something warm. Great for me.

The unit operates well. My only complaint is that some carpentry was required for the unit to fit in the space above a utility drawer when it was replacing a unit of the same make and general design. That happened last time as well.
