Pricey but Nice

I chose induction rather than convert to gas during a kitchen remodel. The ability to control temperature with this technology is awesome! Even though this model was expensive and I had to buy new induction-ready cookware, the overall cost was still cheaper than it would have been to pipe in gas. I went with the more expensive Cafe version to get the nicer flagstone gray color and swipe controls for the heat level, but I think GE is charging far too much for those extra features when compared to the equivalent GE Profile model.
This cooktop came with a Hestan Cue "Smart" frying pan. It's fun because it uses bluetooth to communicate with the cooktop and maintain a precise set temperature. I don't find myself reaching for it all that often and would have preferred the griddle that is designed to fit the bridge elements on the left side of the cooktop.

Has the Design been fixed

I currently have the GE Profile 30’ model purchased back in 2017. The right 2 burners went out and had to be replaced after 14 months. Has this flaw in the design been fixed in the GE Profile and Cafe styles?

Besides looking nicer, this works so much better than my old electric cooktop. Can't believe how fast water boils and food cooks. Cleanup is so much easier as well. Love this cooktop!

I've only had this for a couple of weeks but love it. It heats up really fast, cools down quickly and looks great. I love the color and finish.
