Fast and Efficient

We've had our induction cooktop for about 4 months now, and we love it. It's almost like magic- it will bring induction compatible cookware to temperature incredibly fast, and stops heating just as fast when you turn it down or off. We thought we wanted gas, but it was not available in our island kitchen. We bought this as the alternative, and now we prefer it. Also, it doesn't heat up the kitchen like any other system. We like the look and the electronic controls. It's easier to keep clean than any other cooking system we've ever had, and we've had them all.

What a Difference!

Love the induction cook top! Took a bit of time to get used to it, but what a difference it makes:
No waiting for a stove "eye" to heat
Boiling water in less than half the time of my old electric cooktop
No drip pans to clean
Faster cooking
Almost instant heat control - up & down
No problems if the pan size is not exactly the eye size
(I had read some reviews that included complaints about this)
No real noticeable noise.
In other words, I love it and am very glad we decided to purchase the GE Café induction stove top. Would do it all over again.

I have been researching and reading reviews for several months to find the highest quality induction cooktop in the mid-price range. This model has exceeded my expectations in every way. The gray color is unique and looks beautiful against granite. The touch/slide controls are easy to use, accurately control induction and are a beautiful blue when lit. I absolutely love cooking with induction - superior control and minimal loss of heat = a much cooler kitchen and a happier cooking experience.

Great features

This is our second induction cooktop and we can't imagine going back to a standard electric. Boiling water takes seconds. The design of this new "cafe" is very good. The installation was quick and easy. For those who aren't familiar with induction cooktops, you don't know what you're missing.

I research the heck out of my big purchases and this was the perfect choice for us. Plus it was a breeze for my husband to install in our new build. Heats fast, stays clean, with controls you can see and operate without reading the manual. okay, yes, it does have a little ping at start up on some pans, but not a bother at all.
