Fast and stable heat.

Heats fast and holds selected temperature rock steady. Holds a steady simmer with no need to constantly adjust the setting as my previous gas range required. The burner locations are a little too close together such that pans with flared sides crowd each other.

Very good cooktop

It has a very good appearance that for sure will blend with any style of countertop. The controls are embedded in the glass making cleaning the surface very easy. In comparison with the cooktops that I used earlier, it is as clean as a radiant glass cooktop and as fast as a gas cooktop. It has little inertia (like gas), so when you want to go from vigorous boiling to simmering it happens almost instantaneously.

It was a great purchase all though we purchased new pots before the cooktop was installed. We now have to sell the pots we bought, my husband threw the box away. You know anyone that would like to by a new set of Rachel Ray pots?? :)

Induction is awesome

The induction cooktop is the way to go! Large pots of water still take some time to start to boil. However, smaller pots take only a minute or two. I had to add a trim kit as my previous cooktop was larger than this one. I still don't can't get the timer functions to work on a burner by burner basis.

I did not know anything about induction cooktops. I researched and bought this GE cooktop. Absolutely love it. I like the digital touch controls, heat can be regulated better than gas ( my opinion ) easy to clean and good looking, complimenting my counter.

Nice, but wit some issues

I really like this cooktop for its speed and ease of cleaning. I dropped a star because, 1) the large burner failed the first week (To GE's credit they had a repair team (two guys)there the same day), 2) the front smaller burner hums (but still works fine - the back smaller burner does not and 3) the two medium sized burners are actually faster than the large burner unless using a very large pan. Maybe that's by design, but I've test with a 9 inch WOK, which per the instructions should work on large burner (WOK has 9 inch flat bottom)

Most Efficient Stove Top Appliance

Bought this item after viewing Consumer Reports testing and criteria. Inductive cooking is extremely fast and this appliance is very responsive to the exact level of heat we need for our specific food preparations. We have had the item for 4 months and are still wowed by its performance. I never want electric or gas ranges again. I'm ruined for any other cooktop beside inductive ranges. So glad we spent the extra money to get a superb appliance.
