not so great cooktop

glass induction cooktop chips easily. expected better quality. it also can't be turned on or off with wifi

New to Induction Cooking and a bit frustrated

I should have done some studying before purchase, but my husband wanted it and my sales person suggested it, so I agreed.
The first problem was, nobody mentioned that my pots and pans wouldn't work on it. I had to buy new ones. Then when I bought a new set that was compatible, none of the smaller pots or pans will work because of the size of the burners. And its odd that although the smaller pan looks to fit the circle on the stove top, it wont work. But on the very biggest circle, the largest frying pan works but doesn't cover the whole circle.
I do like how it heats up quickly and turns off instantly. And I love the look of it.
You just need to be aware of the differences in the pots and pans.

Chipped super easy

We love the look of it, and the way it cooks. But for the price of the cooktop, it should not chip as easily as it did!

what a change!

Excellent cooking features, water boils very fast. Temperature hold is great and consistent across the cooking area. Bluetooth communication with the Smart Hub above turns the fan and lights on once the cooktop is activated and shuts them off 15 minutes after power off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our other GE profile was a good stove. I got talked into this one (more expensive). When it was placed, it sat above the counter enough to collect food under. and it still sits up even though we took the strip off to make it sit lower. We caulked it as instructed by the appliance store. the corners are sharp. When wiping the stove and counter area. wipe slow, I already cut myself once. When one burner is on high on the left, you can't use the adjacent burners above it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
